Easter Bunny Banks

This week we have been doing our best to have some out of the ordinary fun. Wednesday’s adventure for our restless kiddos was a road trip to our favorite theatre for a family viewing of HOP.

Inspired by the spring colors, loads of candy, and cute little bunnies in the film and clearly hopped up on loads of movie theatre popcorn we decided to make some Easter Bunny Banks.

Thanks to our littlest mister we have a few empty formula cans just waiting to be recycled and repurposed into some clever little diddy. You will notice that as we worked we revised our original project idea a bit.

Maybe the kids will be inspired to save their pennies for the next time we try to take our family of 6 to a new release in the theatre!

Just for the fun of it I decided to make my bank into a basket instead (goodness knows I don't have any loose change to toss in a bank).  I threaded coated green wire through the holes we punched in the side.  I decorated the wire with favorite buttons and a few fun colored ribbons.  Maybe my little basket will attract a malted milk egg or two!
This project has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for #collectivebias.  I guess they chose us to participate because they know how much I love #gluenglitter!
