We gathered our materials:
~2 flavored Kool-Aid packets
~2 tubs of Vasoline
~heart shaped candy making molds
Anne Hope scooped the vasoline into separate tupperware containers and patiently pushed the buttons on the microwave in 30 second increments until the vasoline was completely melted down.
Next, we opened one flavor packet at a time and stirred it in to the melted (hot!) vasoline.
We made pink lemonade and strawberry (which turned out purple?) Once the mixture was completely mixed together we poured it in to heart shaped candy molds. (Note: it started to harden again quite quickly making it a big chunky in the molds)
These hearts would have likely hardened eventually while sitting out on the counter, but we put our tray in the freezer to speed up the process. Once they were hardened we popped them out of the molds and started a new batch.
We are going to put the final project into small heart shaped, plastic boxes that we found at a dollar store. Each little box holds 2 lip glosses.
A simple project for tasty, shiny, happy little lips!

Aww, how cute are those?? Love it.
