Tip Toe Into Spring

During the next week in our little town we welcome junk food wagons galore, artwork, concerts, craft fairs, pigs-in-a-blanket, traffic, daily parades, fireworks, evening dances, carnival rides, bleachers, blanket lined streets, wooden shoes, and adorable kids in costumes.
But, don't miss it...
the real festival is in the rows and rows of tulips
celebrating all the colors of creation
smiling in the sunshine
slowing down to survey the promising scene
and smelling the sweetness of spring

Thanks to Beth for encouraging me to get out and enjoy Spring with my kids and my camera!

  1. I love the costumes! If my kids were little enough, I would want to do the same thing next time we went to a tulip festival. (But my oldest is 17 and I don't think he'll cooperate.) ;)

  7. Believe it or not, I grew up in MI and *gasp* I've never been to the Tulip Festival. Of course, MI is a pretty big state when you think about the UP and everything, but still...
Your kids are so adorable in their costumes!

  9. They all look adorable. I love your pictures, as always! Although I do not miss the traffic and crazy tourists that come with Tulip Time, I miss being able to wave the dutch pride flag every now and then. ;)
