Soup-er Saturday

Soup-er Saturday
How about a return of Soup-er Saturday??? I'm sure some of you have just been sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for it...right! Ha! Anyway, this Saturday is Croptoberfest. I am spending the day with my ladies socializing and scrapbooking and boy am I looking forward to it! As for the food, we're having a delicious lunch catered and delivered to us, but in the evening hours we'll be enjoying a crock pot full of warm fall chili. My mom reminded me of this recipe, which has been in my collection for years, but I've never tried. Here's hoping it's worthy of the event:)

Shredded Beef Chili

1-1/2 cups of cooked and shredded brisket or roast
3 - 8oz. cans of tomato sauce
1 - 16 oz. jar of salsa
1 can chili beans in sauce
Mix together in a 3 quart saucepan.
Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer.
Top with sour cream and pico de gallo

Serves 4

I'd love to see the soup-er recipes you've been whipping up in your fall kitchen. If you have a link to a great soup please leave your link in the comments and I will be sure to add it into this post!
