It's no secret that I enjoy scrapbooking. In the past 3 years I have also found myself caught up in the digital scrap scene. Which is increasing in popularity because of the options, the cost comparison, and the time savings.
I've encouraged friends who are overwhelmed with all the pictures they need to catch up on to use the digital programs to do just that. In fact, I've told them this is the best way to dig out from the picture piles.
Until now. I've have discovered the MOST effective and non-stressful way for completing albums in a hurry. Hire Nicole!
Nicole, a fellow blogger and mom to a darling 19 month old, has started her own business completing creative digital pages for others!
Artistic Albums by Nicole
In her own words,
"I've been scrapping since my senior year in high school and digitally scrapping for a year and a half. However, I just started my business 6 months ago. I got the idea to start Artistic Albums from my best friend. She kept telling me how much she loved my work and that I should do it for people for money. When I uploaded all my pages to Facebook I got an overwhelming amount of wonderful comments and responses about them. I then decided that maybe I could do this as a job and began the process to start my very own scrap-for-hire business."
I love it. A mom-prenuer who took the initiative to turn her hobby into a productive income from her family.
In her own albums, Nicole's focus is her daughter. Her favorite pictures to work with are weddings and babies. She also enjoys putting together pages about military families, as her husband is in the Coast Guard. Yet, personal preference aside, she does nice work on pictures from events of all kinds.
I was really excited to pass along some of my favorite pictures from this fall for Nicole to layout.
I sent a few different page options and she very generously put together all 3.
I provided the wording for the page's journaling and title bars. As you can see, the pages are journaled in more detail that my typical layouts, but that was my choice.
I plan to display the pages of Gavin's first day of school as a two page spread. I liked how Nicole matched Gavin's shirt with the striped paper she chose for the background.
To be completely honest, as a scrapper myself, I was a bit concerned that I would be critical or fussy about the pages when they where sent back to me. I had a bit of an idea in mind as to how I wanted to pages to look in final format. Nicole must have some kind of mind reading talent because she highlighted the photos and text the way I was envisioning, while still putting her own creative outlook into the pages. Sometimes you need another set of eyes to bring design, perspective, or arrangement to pictures that you may have missed on your own.
In the end we only made very slight adjustments to the pages, mostly because of my overly wordy text. Nicole was very understanding about making the changes with a very quick turn around. Talk about customer service:)
Artistic Albums by Nicole also has a design service. She is willing to custom design birthday invitations, note cards, Christmas greetings, and more. To see samples of her work please visit the Artistic Albums by Nicole Gallery.
