First Taste

Despite the sweet smell (ha!) my animal loving (double ha!) little ones weren't so crazy about browsing around in the big barns of the Ottawa County Fair. In all fairness, I must admit I haven't modeled a huge appreciation for farm creatures.

It's fair to say the highlight of the adventure was watching the speed horse races around the 1/2 mile track. Our fair maiden was very fascinated by the Nascar-esque horses, but insisted on sitting at the VERY top of the bleachers - you can never be too safe around those crazy beasts.

And, I'm fairly certain Anne Hope developed a new fondness for fries and fresh squeezed lemonade.

My sweet tooth fairy snuck Gibson a small nibble of her sticky cotton candy.
It was love...

...at first taste!

  1. There's nothing like fair fries and lemonade. Yum.

  2. Great pictures and such sweet faces. I am so glad you had fun at the fair, I am bummed to have missed it. The kids will come around and love animals, it is only a matter of time. :)

Thanks for taking a moment to comment. I love to hear from you!
