Teach Me Tuesday: Names

Anne Hope is learning to spell her name.
To help her learn we did this little project together.

Materials:
~Scissors
~Glue
~Magazines
~White Paper

We started by writing her name on the piece of white paper.
Next, she searched through magazines to find the letters in her name.
When she found a letter she cut it out & glued it under the letter I wrote.

Super simple....

...but good practice!

  1. You always think of the cutest, easiest projects. My 3 yr old is just getting interested in the letters in her name. She'll love this and could do it while the other girls are working on homework.

  2. What a great idea so they can see their letters in all different styles and fonts and still be able to recognize them!

  3. I'm thinking I need to get going with Mikayla recognizing letters! I'm not sure she knows the names of the letters in her name. Yikes! Any tips on how to start from the beginning?

  4. I guess now I have an excuse for holding onto the mountains of magazines I seem to be buried under!

  6. This is a great idea! I wish my 3 yr old would show some interest in learning how to spell her name but I am having enough trouble getting her to recognize a few letters. She has absolutely NO interest in letters what so ever. Hopefully she will change her mind soon and learn...then I can do this project with her.
