In the process of organizing my recipe & idea collection I ran across an idea I tore out of some favorite magazine at one time. It was exciting to actually put an idea into practice. This one is likely to save me a little bit of laundry - even better!
Between the several showers a day, in our newly tiled tub, we use a lot of towels. None of us are good about remembering which towel is ours and reusing it, not even once. Maybe this will help.

I wrote each of our names on one clothes pin. I stored all 5 clothespins in our handy, dandy bathroom buckets. When a towel is used, but not ready for the laundry pile yet, we can clip our name to our towel. No more trouble remembering whose is whose.

On a side note, I am hoping to be able to share my new recipe organizational system by the next Works for Me Wednesday. The goal is to have it done by then.

Good idea-we just each have our own colored towels to keep track-Ayden blue, Adalie pink etc.
ReplyDeleteFantastic, we have the same problem. I have all the supplies in the craft box and will be making these this morning - before my shower!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and I can't wait for how to organize recipes!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! For Christmas two years ago my Stepmom had towels embroidered (sp?) with the kids names but have to hang the grown-up towels on opposite sides of the bathroom to tell them apart. :)
ReplyDeleteWe don't reuse towels, but that's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteFun little tip, Katie! And, of course, I love that little bucket in your bathroom! :)
ReplyDeleteIf you're organizing your recipes, you should post it for The Org Junkie's monthly roudnup. This month is recipes! E-mail if you want more info.
Have a great day and happy birthday to that sweet little girl of yours. Mine will be 3 coming up way too quickly!!
What a great idea!! So simple and yet purposeful!
ReplyDeleteI cringe at the thought of a shared towel so this idea makes me so happy! :-)I will be trying this - especially when we go camping and it's harder to keep towels separate.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. I might have to try this in my household!
ReplyDeleteI have always ment to get a few of the girls towels personalized...this is MUCH easier!
