What Kind of Mother?

Would leave her tots, unattended, long enough for them to completely empty the entire toy closet, in hopes that at any moment they would comply with the request to "Get in bed. It's time to rest!" ?

Would finally check on the situation when the noise stopped?

Would find her 4 year old sleeping in the closet?

Would cover him up inside the closet, instead of tucking him into his comfy bed?

Would grab the camera to take a picture, while covering the flash button, so as not to wake him up?

Would think, "That's great! If all our kids could sleep in closets we could have at least 10 little ones in our cozy home."?

Oh Dear!!! That kind of mother is certainly NOT ME!

Not Me Monday is hosted by the clever MckMama

  1. Too funny and BTW I'd have done the exact same thing: covered up AND photographed!

  2. LOL. Too funny and what a cute picture. (No worries, my mom used to put me in a laundry basket with a few toys just so she could take a shower.LOL.)

  3. So glad to see that he finally fell asleep. You are not the only mom to just keep hoping that they would tired themselves out so much that they would crash...BINGO! It worked! ~ J

  4. Hi Katie, This picture of your son is so sweet! I probably would have done the exact same thing with covering him up and leaving him there, especially because I know the minute I moved him, he would be awake!

You asked me on my blog post this morning about whether or not I made the fabric diaper bags. I wish I could say I made them...I'm so not a seamstress! I got one as a gift for my first baby (girl), and then with the second (boy) a year and a half later, I had my mom make me one. She's the REAL seamstress in the family!! I bet they have tutorials for this kind of thing. I love have the diapers organized, and of course, looking cute!

OK, sorry...I just realized how long this comment is. Next time, I'll have to shoot you an e-mail. ;)

Hope you're having a great Monday!

  5. I have done the same and similar things - all in the name of a good rest (for both child and mamma).

  6. I'm not that kind of mother either! he he he glad to be in good company! I noticed your comment on Heidi's blog and saw the "hands" picture. I did one too a couple years ago. It's on my blog if you go visit.

  7. Oh my gosh! It is so funny how kids do that! My little girl likes to sleep standing up...don't ask me how, but I have pictures to prove it! (Yes, her knees were twitching)

Thanks for taking a moment to comment. I love to hear from you!
