Snowman Slush

Yesterday the kids and I bundled up for a fun afternoon of building snow people. Gavin had many expectations for how our snowmen should look.

"A good snowman must have..."
1) A Hat
2) A Scarf
3) Buttons
4) Black Eyes
5) A Carrot Nose

Lucky for us we have a great snowmen building kit with all the supplies (except the snow). As you can see the amount of snow mounded together to create the 3 parts of the snowman's body was not especially important to the kids. They just wanted to decorate their little snow creatures.

This morning we discovered that a good snowman must also have adequate body mass to survive in this less than freezing weather. So, although we had a fantastic time building our little snow people yesterday; today they are snowman slush.

  1. Gavin and Anne Hope (and Aunt Katie too!) -

What great snowpeople you made - they look wonderful! I bet you had a lot of fun making them. I can't wait until I'm big enough to play outside in the snow with you - give me a year or two and we'll have lots of fun together. :)

    Your little cousin,

P.S. to Aunt Katie - My mom thinks your blog is so much fun. Maybe she can update her blog soon with pictures of me. :)

  2. Peyton,

It was fun to hear from you. It is exciting to think about all the playing we will be able to do together when you get just a little bit bigger.

Our momma checks on your blog once in awhile to see if there are new pictures of you:)

We are really looking forward to seeing you on Christas Eve!

    Have a great day,
    Gavin and Anne Hope

  3. These kids keep gettin' smarter and smarter!!
Make Kevin install an air conditioner on the snowmen to keep then intact!!

Thanks for taking a moment to comment. I love to hear from you!
